1. Information We Collect

Sales Journal collects the following information to provide its service:

Account information: email address and display name provided at registration.
Journal data: daily and weekly journal entries you create within the app.
Usage and technical data: basic, aggregate website analytics (such as page views and load performance) and routine server logs (such as request times and error details), used to operate and secure the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and operate the Sales Journal service.
To store your journal data in your account so you can reach it whenever you sign in.
To send password-reset emails when requested.
To improve the app based on aggregate, anonymised usage signals.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your journal data is stored on our servers, which are hosted in the United States, and is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. Each user can only access their own data. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, never in plain text. Your sign-in token is kept in the browser storage on your device.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following service providers to run Sales Journal. They process data on our behalf, and we do not sell your personal information.

Render hosts our application server and database.
Cloudflare provides our website hosting, content delivery, domain services and basic analytics.
Resend delivers the password-reset emails we send, and receives your email address and the message for that purpose.
Google serves the fonts and rendering files the app loads, and may receive your IP address when you load them.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from the Account screen, which immediately and permanently removes your account and all your journal entries from our database. Copies held in routine database backups are removed when those backups expire.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@salesjournalonline.com.

7. Children’s Privacy

Sales Journal is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
